Don't Make Me Eat It!

I've been trying to get Lily to eat baby food for 3 months now, since about 4 1/2 months old.  After nearly a month she finally started eating peas and really liked them.  Then we tried sweet potatoes and she was okay with those, but she didn't like oats at all still.  She became very fussy, gassy, and wasn't sleeping well so I stopped all baby food for about a week until her 6 month appointment.  We started up again and she loves oats mixed only with water.  I can get her to eat banana by mixing a tiny bit with her oats.  She snubs her nose at ANYTHING else.  ARGH!!  She will stick her chin to her chest and not even try it if it isn't oats.

Ornery!

I keep telling myself not to worry about it, but after our food struggles with Adam it really bothers me that she won't even try the foods.  The second she smells that it's not oats she snubs it.  And the funny part...my other kids HATED baby cereal!  I thought breastfed babies were usually more willing to try different foods, but not this kid.

"You can try to feed me all you want, I'll just sit here and play with my toes though."

It's a good thing that she has never required much to keep growing.  She takes 4-5 6 ounce bottles a day.  Typically it's only 4, but I'm trying to give her a bottle around 10pm on the days we didn't get 5 in.  She's chinking up now that she is on only formula too.  She is between 14 1/2 and 15 pounds!
